Engineering student found dead in Stone quarry

CHENNAI: Saravanan (21) son of karthikeyan from keerapakam, Guduvancheri found to be dead in a private stone quarry.

Saravanan was studing 2nd year mechanical engineering in a private engineering college near Thambaram and on Jan 22 he returned from his college and went back to meet his friend by night from home. And he did not return back to his home. Saravanan's father Mr.Karthikeyan lodged a complaint in the nearby police station that " Saravanan is missing".

On jan 28 ,workers in the quarry site found a dead body floating in the water. The urged police tried to fish him out and the circumstance did not favor them. Police asked for the help of Fire and rescue service. The team rescued the body and found that he was tied to a stone in water.

The body is for autospy in chengalpattu Government hospital and later will be handed over to their family.

The police started their investigation and looking for evidences in the site.
